Andrew Brown Dental is proud to support a community initiative focused on practical conservation, learning, and environmental care.
Our Principal Dentist Andrew Brown is leading a new three-year programme of free, hands-on conservation workshops designed to support learning, wellbeing, and environmental care. The programme begins with a traditional hedge laying demonstration led by renowned expert Bobby Crabb and marks the start of a wider commitment to practical environmental learning.
This ambitious scheme will deliver 75 workshops aimed at turning ecological awareness into real-world action. Open to everyone, from those curious about the natural world to landowners and practitioners, the programme explores topics including wildflower meadow creation, sustainable beekeeping with the B4 Project, wildlife surveying, and the relationship between art and the environment.
These sessions go beyond observation. The land itself becomes a classroom, encouraging participants to learn by doing. Alongside practical skills, the programme places strong emphasis on wellbeing, connection to nature, and a deeper understanding of sustainable agriculture, woodland management, and conservation grazing.
Funded through government support, the initiative reflects the view that professionals from any field can play a positive role in environmental stewardship. By sharing knowledge, creating access, and encouraging participation, the scheme aims to build confidence and capability within the local community.
As the programme develops, new sessions and opportunities will be announced throughout the year. Anyone interested in taking part or learning more is warmly invited to register their interest.
